Bounties

Anyone can post a video they want to see made. Others upvote it and put money behind it. Creators of any size make their version on the platforms they already use and link it to the idea. The people who funded it pick the winner, and the winner takes the bounty.

Today a creator is paid by an ad model that rewards genre and geography, not the work. Patreon and its kind need an audience first. A bounty pays for the video itself, from the people who asked for it, before anyone has followers.

The hidden market is the demand for content that does not exist yet.
